Abstract

Upon functional analysis of 29 motor variables the following eight factors isolated on the sample of 164 track-and-field school cadets: psychomotor coordination, speed of simple and repetitive movements, movement frequency, the precision of aiming by hands, the unnamed factor, basic strength, explosive, strength and flexibility. The results of regression analysis in the manifest and latent motor space have shown that the highest prognostic values of results in pole vault has been achieved by the indicators of explosive and static strength, coordination and in a lesser degree precision, i. e. the mechanisms responsible for the regulation and control of movement and the mechanisms for energy regulation (especially of the intensity of excitation).
