Outlines (Volumes) of Family Houses

Abstract

The approximate outline of a family house can be viewed according to its geometrical shape, which can range from a very simple cube to an elaborate composite. The author lists five categories of outlines, as well as some well-known examples. He analyses outline characteristics from the aspect of cost-effectiveness, climate, size of plot, external space, internal organisation and style.
