Abstract

The article presents the philological research of Croatian Protestant texts done by Franjo
Fancev, Alojz Jembrih, Gordana Cupković and Stjepan Damjanović in the 20'h and the
21" centuries. The subject of their analysis was primarily the Glagolitic and the Cyrillic
New Testament (1562/1563, 1564), but also some other Protestant texts. The results offer
insight into the Croatian language envisaged by Croatian Protestant authors in the 16‘”
century.
