Abstract

In this paper a list of taxa recorded in 2021 in the collection of the wild flora of Primary school "Vjekoslav Kaleb" in Tisno is given. The collection has been maintained since 2013 for the purposes of Biology course. In it 245 taxa of vascular plants (220 species and 25 subspecies) from 58 families were recorded. The flora is dominated by angiosperms (242 taxa), among which dicotyledons (78.37%) are considerably more abundant than monocotyledons (20.41%). Three gymnosperm taxa were also registered. Twenty six taxa had been recorded inthe literature. The majority of species from the collection belongs to families Fabaceae and Poaceae, making 25.30% of the total flora. In the spectrum of plant life-forms terophytes (39.59%) and hemicryptophytes (26.94%) prevail, as do the plants of the Mediterranean (45.72%) and South European floral element (19.18%) in the phytogeographic analysis. Among the rare species in Croatia, in grassland floral part of the collection the species Tragopogon hybridus is found. There is also an endangered species Delphinium peregrinum, a vulnerable Ophrys bertolonii and six of the category of near threatened. The bigest threats to the indigenous flora are the invasive taxa of the genus Conyza and the species Euphorbia prostrata, both recorded in the forest part of the collection.
