MOSQUITOES (DIPTERA, CULICIDAE) OF THE PARK MAKSIMIR, ZAGREB, CROATIA

Abstract
During 1995., samples of mosquitoes were took from park Maksimir. We identified 16 species of mosquitoes, ten species from genus Ochlerotatus, two from genus Anopheles, and one from genus Aedes, Culex, Coquillettidia and Uranotenia each.
Among identified species the most numerous are species which prefere forest as habitat. The species Ochleratotus behningi was noted for the first time in Croatia.
