PSOCOPTERA FAUNA IN STORE HOUSES OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS

Abstract

In the territory of Slavonija and Baranja (Croatia) in the siloses, large and small store house on grain wheat, barley, maize, soybean, sugar beet seed and sunflower was found 16 species of Psocoptera: Psyllipsocus ramburi Sel., f. destructor, Lepinotus reticulatus End., L. inquillinus Heyd., Liposcelis bostrichophilus Bad., L. kidderi Hagen, L. simulans Brhd., L. corrodens Heym., L. liparus Brhd., L. rufus Brhd., L. entomophilus End, L. tricolor Bad., L. terricolis Bad., L. mendax Pearm., L. pubescens Brhd., L. paetus Pearm. and Lachesilla pedicularia L. On the grain wheat was 14 species, maize 8, sugar beet seed 5, barley 2, soybean and sunflower 1 species investigated. The species Lachesilla pedicularia L. was found on 4 products, other species on 3, 2 on 1 researched product. Most abundant was order Liposcelis. It is also an important record the finding of Liposcelis tricolor Bad. On the stored wheat in the silos. In our opinion it was carried into the silos at the harvest time. Psocoptera are harmful insects. They transport the harmful microorganisms – fungi and bacteria all over the store house, with their bodies, hair and with the faces.
