Abstract

In the village of Sveti Anton, located in the central part of Dubašnica, there are six Glagolitic inscriptions and graffiti preserved on two windows and one portal. The portal has Arabic numerals inscripted with numbers “1555”, probably indicating a significant year for that village. Inscriptions and graffiti give us information about the people and life in Sveti Anton throughout the 18th century. They provide information about the benefactors, teacher priests and young men, students of the Glagolitic schools.
