Abstract
The aim of this paper is to show the interaction between the coronavirus pandemic and
environmental legal regulation. Firstly, in this regard, the international framework for preventing
and combating animal pandemics will be explained. Additionally, the need to strengthen regulations
relating to the prevention and control of infectious diseases originating from animals will be
highlighted (Chapter 2). Subsequently, the link between the coronavirus pandemic and the legal
framework relating to ensuring air quality will be analyzed (Chapter 3). Finally, it will be considered
whether there is a link between the pandemic and climate change-related activities, especially in the
context of the need for economic recovery, paying particular attention to the European Green Deal
and the proposal for the European Union legislative package ‘Ready for 55 %’ (Chapter 4).
