Political Representation is Important for the Achievment of Rights of National Minorities

Abstract
Further democratization of Croatian society and the dynamics of approaching the EU will depend on political and economic criterion and the fulfilment of conditions, along with necessary consideration for international standards regarding human and minority rights. In order to define degree of consideration for human and minorities rights in Croatia, the international community should not only be led by changing rhetoric, legal adjustment and promises. The international community should be committed to demand the complete fulfilment of Croatia's international obligations and standards which Croatia promotes, upon which the future of national minorities in Croatia will also depend.
