Point Inclusion in a Polygon

Abstract

The problem of automated decision making on the position of a point related to a given simple polygon belongs to computational geometry, and has its application in different disciplines, among others in geodesy and cartography, too. The paper gives the thorough description of a new and simple algorithm far solving this problem.
