Abstract

Terrain correction (tc) for the chosen area of the Republic of Croatia was computed by application of numerical integration and Fast Fourier Transform methods on digital terrain and density models. In doing so, special attention was paid to the fulfillment of the method's requirements. Impact of higher order terms in the series of the planar terrain correction approximation was investigated. A substantial effect of inclusion of surface density digital models to the tc result was found. Comparison of the methods confirmed the adequate quality and superior efficiency of the spectral domain methods.
