Abstract

The paper presents the adjustment of geodetic networks by Gauss-Markov functional model, i.e. adjustment by observation equations with additional equations of fictional measurements (pseudoobservations). The general adjustment solution in case of optimal datum definition (free networks) is effectively applicable as well as in the case of different conventional datum definitions (non-free networks). The appliance of general adjustment solution in case of conventional datum definition has been carried out. Adjustment procedure universality in view of software design is emphasized. It has been found that without regard to the datum defect the presence in adjustment procedure, introduction of generalized inverses (pseudoinverse) is not necessary. The same results may be obtained as by strict use of observation equations adjustment.
