Abstract

The European Union bases its economic growth and development on the principles of sustainable development – inconceivable without renewable energy sources – which Europe supports generously by financing, promoting and sharing best practice. This paper analyses the effects of the FIRESPOL international project which, by promoting best practice and exchanging experiences between different countries and regions, strengthens investments in renewable energy sources (RES), contributing to the employment and growth of EU’s low-carbon economy.
