Abstract

The paper deals with a possibility of taking into account correlations in adjustment of a minor control network by the method of nodal points since both the coordinate differences and the differences of directional angels depend on measured refractive angels and lengths. First, the theoretic conception of such adjustment has been explained. Then, starting from a more general example, and following the logic of matrix calculation, conclusions were derived peaking how to form the matrix of normal equations and the vector of free terms mechanically, on the basis of a sketch of the minor control net, supposing that the correlation matrices were formed for each traverse beforehand. The correlation matrix of a single traverse is practically equal to the matrix of normal equations in known severe conditional adjustment of the traverse. In the case of adjustment of one nodal point, a notion vectorial arithmetic mean is introduced which, when the unknowns are not in correlation, would be converted into adjustment of the nodal point by the usual approximate method.
