Abstract
SUMMARY
The text is a contribution to the biography of the Croatian linguist and revivalist Vjekoslav (Alojzije) Babukić, to mark the 210th anniversary from his birth (Požega, 1812). Based on the Samobor Museum archive data, facts are added about the descent of his mother. A document is given linked with inheritance proceedings where Babukić himself gives an extensive account in the then Samobor Kajkavian dialect by dictating the text and signing the document.
A tight link is proved between Babukić and Samobor.
