Abstract

The fundamental shortcomings of teaching biology in a classical (traditional) way are appraising and grading student achievement and results very rarely, and a lack of feedback on the level and structure of the knowledge acquired by the students. It is precisely from this fact that the underlying presupposition of this research issues, and it is that the aforesaid shortcomings concerning student achievement appraisal can be eliminated or at least mitigated by a combined implementation of continued and objective testing of knowledge and differential tasks, which would ultimately freshen, enrich and improve the teaching of biology in primary schools.
