Roman Inscriptions from Pelješac

Abstract

The author provides a synthetic review of the Roman inscriptions from Pelješac, with an overview of the known texts and their provenience, and notes certain characteristics of the conquest of this area in the Roman period. He suggests a new reading of the inscription of Calvidius Secundus from Janjina, in which two magistrates of the Naronitan colony are mentioned. He also publishes some new fragmentary inscriptions.
