Abstract

The economic consequences of the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic have hit the global business environment hard. Companies around the world, including in Bosnia and Herzegovina, were forced to quickly adapt their operations to the "new normal". The business performance of the companies was under attack. In this paper, we investigate the effects of the measures on the business operations of companies in the Federation of BiH, namely in the key measurement categories: liquidity, solvency, efficiency of asset management and profitability of investments. The results indicate a threatened operational efficiency and financial results of the business, but also a quick recovery. The effects of the crisis are also distributed differently, depending on the size of the company. We can point out that the lessons from the domain of financial management: preservation of liquidity, acceleration of turnover, flexibility in management, and optimization of the use of assets, have been learned.
