Abstract
The rapid advancement of science and technology has irreversibly transformed everyday human life. On the one hand, these pervasive changes, have elevated the quality of human life and eased everyday tasks but on the other, extensive technological changes are the subject of ethical discussions and debates about the future of humanity, regarding the risks that arise from new technologies. This paper explores the concepts of transhumanism and cybernetics, analysing their potential impact on the future of humanity and the ethical challenges they pose. By examining the promises and perils of these futuristic ideas, the paper emphasises the importance of responsible technological development and the necessity of comprehensive regulation in shaping our technological future. In this context, bioethics is crucial in limiting technological progress and guiding technological development to preserve human moral principles. Its role extends beyond merely setting limitations. It also involves proactively stimulating and reflecting on the moral aspects of technological advancement. Through the synergy of bioethics and social sciences, aided by global policies, we can shape a future where technology serves the well-being of humanity, respecting the values of dignity, justice, and the freedom of all individuals.
