Abstract

The paper describes the testing of five, most frequently used methods for computing the radial distribution of emitters or refractive indeces in cylindrical, optically thin plasma sources. These methods were tested for four analytically soluble distributions, by comparing the results of the numerical and analytical procedures. It is shown that for each distribution shape, depending on the accuracy of the input data, the most appropriate method can be selected.
