Isobaric spin in photonuclear reactions

Abstract

Present evidence for isobaric spin splitting of the photonuclear giant dipole resonance is discussed on some examples. In particular, it is shown that the experiments on 11B are inconclusive. For 90Zr the ratio of integrated cross sections for the two isospin components
is predicted, together with the corresponding ratio for some reaction channels.
