Abstract

The Dyson-Schwinger equation for the electron propagator in the "finite" quantum electrodynamics of Johnson et al. is considered. The solutions of the corresponding nonlinear second-order differential boundary value problem in momentum representation are investigated in detail . It is shown that the electron propagator has singular points in the complex p2 plane. The problem of generating nonvanishing physical electron mass in the theory with vanishing bare electron mass is discussed.
