Abstract

The first non-trivial approximation of the Schwinger-Dyson equation for the Klein-Gordon propagator in scalar electrodynamics with λ (φ* φ) 2/4 self-interaction is investigated. An analysis for different values of space-time dimensions (d), gauge parameter (G), coupling constants (e0, λ) and the scalar particle masses (m0, m) is performed. It is shown that finite (trivial) solutions exist in the following two cases: 1) d = 2, λ = e20, G = - 1 and 2) d = 4, λ = 3e20, G = 3, m = m0 = 0.
