Abstract

Education in Dalmatia has a longstanding tradition. Dalmatian school employees always included individuals who were active as pedagogical writers. As of the second half of the 19th century, they started their pedagogical journals and magazines that were published in one of the four largest educational, cultural and economic centers of Dalmatia: Zadar, Šibenik, Split and Dubrovnik. By this article, the author reminds us of the pedagogical journals and magazines published in Šibenik. They were: Učiteljski glas (Teachers’ Voice, 1906 – 1910), Novo vrijeme (New Age, 1908), and Pokret (Movement, 1925 – 1927). He also reminded us of the publication of a pedagogical almanac in the city (entitled Pedagoški prilozi (Pedagogical Articles)), which was only published twice: in 1963 and in 1964. The author intended for this associate’s article to be an incentive for the research and analysis of the entire Dalmatian pedagogical print. Because this attractive and interesting topic has been waiting for its researcher and analyzer for a long time.
