Abstract

The way of determining the extent of the built-up area coefficient
of the industrial locations in towns is conditioned by the spatial and economic possibilities, as well a by the level of the social development. Built-up area coefficient values will depend on the position of the industrial location within the town area, building characteristics, character of planned or realized industrial construction, conditions of environment protection, and so on. Graded number values of built-up area coefficient are defined by comparative analysis examined on the theoretical models and realized industrial locations and objects, related to the position of the industrial location within the town area. The results of this research enable the planners to choose the optimal building conditions of industrial locations, and the appropriate
production technology related to the given values of the built-up area coefficient to determine the perspectives of further development, and to define the legitimacy of investments
in their further building or reconstruction.
