Abstract

The central problem of actual ecologically-ethical discussion is the range of a moral community. In the focus of the ecologically-ethical debate – beside the issue of a moral status of an embryo, on one level, and that of a non-human living being, on the other- is the notion of sustenance. Sustenance in a general sense represents the way of acting which provides circumstances sufficient to enable future generations to have a contented life. Therefore, sustenance is the principle of political and economic realization of intergenerational justice.
