Abstract

The development of lighting technology, as well as the use of computers for planning lighting led today to the customary practice of lighting buildings with remote controlled lighting systems containing numerous small intensity light sources (enabling the change of intensity and colour of light and adjustment of the light sequence). As a result, a growing number of cultural monuments show good lighting designs (the Louvre, Pompeii).
