Abstract

In academic articles that deal with issues of quality and management and in the attitude of managers, the terms business excellence and organizational excellence are more frequently confused as the synonym terms. It would be wrong to confuse system management with the business excellence. Business excellence is not system management even though research suggests that nominated organizations and the award winning organizations of the main three quality awards already have implemented numerous quality management systems. Quality management systems, among other things, are necessary in order to reach business excellence. Business excellence is an award for quality. Intellectual capital is one of the six key elements in the function of the successful monitoring of success or failure of the organizations. This article researches the relation between the terms business excellence and efficiency of the intellectual capital from in the organizations which were nominated or gained the award for business excellence.
