Abstract

The measurements of displacements of various natural and man-made objects plays an important role in the deformation analysis. Such measurements have been employed in geodesy for quite a period of time, and the development of measuring technologies has enabled its improvement. This primarily concerns the development of robotic total stations. In this paper monitoring of the displacements of bridges and historical churches in Bavaria is presented, which is being done by Department of Geodesy at Technical University of Munich. There are also particular examples of the displacements monitoring at one bridge on the highway Munich-Berlin and in St. Ignatius Church in the town Landshut in Bavaria.
