Abstract
The aim of the study was to determine the differences between regular students of the Faculty of Kinesiology (which have wide spectrum of motor knowledge) and outdoor students of High School for Coaches (steer fitness, who tightly specialise in bodybuilding).
The sample comprised 216 male students, age 21-25, divided into two groups. The first group encompassed the regular students of the Faculty of Kinesiology (N=149), while the second group consisted of 67 students of the High School for Coaches (steer fitness). The methods used in data processing were Student t-test, analysis of variance and discriminative analysis.
The differences were observed in explosive strength and frequency of the repetitive movements. The variable that contributed the most to the differentiation of the groups was foot tapping. The regular students of the Faculty of Kinesiology had wider overall motor knowledge, which enabled them to perform better in more complex motor assignments. The outdoor students of the High School for Coaches showed bigger muscle mass and less fat tissue that might be ascribed to the many years spent in specific bodybuilding training process.
