Abstract

The article examines the impact and significance of the Bauhaus for the development of architectural thinking in Croatia between the two world wars. It thereby points to some interesting overlapping, correspondence and simultaneities of the two cultural milieus. The research on the Bauhaus, as one of the most influential and intriguing artistic and educational experiments in European and world cultural and art history, is continuously instructive and relevant, especially emphasized in the year when we celebrate 90 years from the foundation of this famous avant-garde school.
