Abstract

The text deals with the music history in the village of Stari Grabovac. Through such history, the text also tries to present the history of ethnology in Croatia. The author thinks that these two histories cannot be divided, neither analytically, nor in practice. He tries to present his attitude using the problematic term tradition. In that way, the history of music is presented by different ethnographic discourses. At the end of the text, the interview with family Jugović is presented as inter-subjective dialog between the heard material and the cultural heritage of ethnographer.
