SOUTH CHAKAVIAN DIALECT AND ITS LEXIS

Abstract

The paper deals with the ubiquity of the south Chakavian dialect, its genesis and its most important features.This ikavian dialect is divided into three sub-dialects: the insular, mainland and“gradišćanski“ sub-dialect.The paper also gives a very brief summary of the lexical features of the dialect.
