Abstract

The paper present results of investigation of morphological characteristics of fruit,
stone and a leaf of four economically interesting olive (Olea europaea L.) phenotypes
cv. Lastovka from the north-western part of the island of Korčula, where the greatest
concentration of old Lastovka trees exist.
Presented results confirm the existence of morphological differences between the
investigated phenotypes.
Phenotype 1 has the narrowest leaf as well as the highest value of the length/width
leaf ratio. Phenotype 2 has the lowest value of fruit weight, fruit length and fruit width,
stone length and width, as well as the lowest value of the length/width fruit, stone and
leaf ratios. Phenotype 3 has the highest value of weight, length and width of stones.
Phenotype 4 has the lowest value of the stone weight.
