Abstract

Morphostructural analysis and basic structural geomorphological aspects of the Rilić mountain ridge were analysed in this work. Smaller mountain blocks of the mountain ridge, were distinguished on the basis of orographic and structural criteria. In a structural genetic sense, Rilić represents a folded-thrusted-block morphostructure that was uplifted during the young neotectonic phase. Karst relief dominates in the carbonate, rocky complex. The intensity of corrosional processes are predisposed by geological structure and younger tectonical movements. Gravitational and slope processes as well as gully and slope wash processes are of great importance in forming relief of the mountain ridge, especially towards the southwestern side.
