Abstract

There exist different ways to treat patients with
diagnosed jumper's knee and non-operative methods are
becoming more and more popular regarding this issue.
Eccentric exercises are one method of non-surgical
treatment of jumper's knee with the main idea of doing
slow muscle contractions, during which the muscle fibers
lengthen, as opposed to concentric contractions in which
they shorten.Articles of the last decade, in which results of
eccentric exercises are being compared to results of other
treatment methods, indicate that the results are mostly in
favor of eccentric exercises. The aim of this article is to
recommend doing eccentric exercises as one of the nonsurgical
methods of treatment of jumper's knee and to
show our program of these exercises.
