Abstract

Veneer densifi cation was performed at 105±3 ºC under pressure of 1,8 N/mm2 for 30 s. The approach allowed to reduce 20-mm thick plywood pressing time by 12-25 % when compared to the non-densified controls. It was found that densifi cation did not affect shear strength of the plywood which met the requirements of the respective standards.
