The Journal Latina et Graeca was created by students and young scientists, classical philologists, archaeologists and linguists, during the 1972/3 school year. The enthusiasm of youth associated with the pursuit of excellence created a need for public expression. The journal imposed itself as the optimal forum of our public discourse that did not want to limit itself to strict scientific discourse because we believed, and still believe today, that antiquity and its heritage form an essential part of the overall experience of Western civilization. Therefore, this experience - in our opinion - is transmitted in various types of statements: on the one hand scientific, deeper and more fruitful research of this vast area, but also pedagogical through the teaching of classical languages ​​at all levels and in all forms. The first issue of the journal was published in May 1973 and was published regularly until 1994, when its publication was hampered by the unfavorable circumstances of the war and post-war period. His new series has been published since 2002. 39 volumes were published in the first series (the last was double issue 39-40). So far, 39 volumes have been published in the new series. CHARGES The journal does not charge any fees from authors for publishing papers. OPEN ACCESS STATEMENT The Journal LATINA ET GRAECA provides immediate open access to its content. Full-text access to scientific articles of the journal is presented on the HRCAK website(https://hrcak.srce.hr/latinaetgraeca/). The Journal LATINA ET GRAECAis an open access journal, which means all its content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author as long as they cite the source. STATEMENT ON DIGITAL ARCHIVING POLICY Journal LATINA ET GRAECA uses the common HRCAK platform for Croatian Open Access journals, managed by the University Computing Centre SRCE.
