Abstract

We derive here a class of exact solution of the Schrödinger equation for the central nonpolynomial potential V (r) = r2 + λr2/(1 + gr2) in two and three dimensions by using two suitable ansätze. This potential is relevant in the context of laser physics and quantum field theory. The eigenfunctions and eigenvalues obtained here may, therefore, be useful for application in lasers and field theory.
