Sažetak

The article deals with the significance of (mass) media in contemporary society under one specific aspect: responsibility of recipient in the process of (mass)medial communication. Withouth public opinion is not possible to imagine or to write about interactive relationship between journalists and recipients. In difference of totalitaristic, isolated and closed societies - where only one activity of recipients was to receive the information (and evtl. possibility of selection) - democratic and pluralistic societies are devoloping the public opinion. Indeed, the existance of public opinion is a basis for a possibility of recipients to include themselves - active and responsable - into the process of social communication. Troughout the items of ethics, morality and responsibility, the article analize the recipient's role in media-life of society, trying to offer the answers to the questions in which way can the users of media trensform the journalism and media communication in two-flow process, and with his contribution and initiative contribute to the better quality of media scene.
