Sažetak

In the field survey and archaeological supervision we documented two prehistoric sites, situated along the edge of the loess plateau between Suza and Kneževi Vinogradi. The sites had been known previously, and on their surfaces we collected potsherds from the Eneolithic and the Bronze Age. Based on the collected potsherds we can create the picture of the habitation of this area, which, incidentally, abounds with sites from all periods.
A particularly important discovery is that of a settlement of the Vučedol culture at the position Suza – Derjan. The site is one of the few so far known Eneolithic settlements in the Baranja region. The Suza – Berengye site yielded finds of the Dalj group from the end of the Late Bronze Age and the beginning of the Iron Age. The same position yielded finds of Encrusted Pottery from the end of the Early Bronze Age and the beginning of the Middle Bronze Age. The discovery of a V-section ditch points to the position of an unknown Roman camp, although it is necessary to verify this by a test excavation.
