The fullness of the person's existence – civilization of love in the context of postmodern
Jósef Stala
; Uniwersytet Papieski Jana Pawła II w Krakowie
Sažetak
In the article the author discusses the situation of contemporary man to whom society, at all its levels, imposes the ideal of private happiness, i.e. imposes the way of selfrealization as the way that should be chosen and followed. The author thinks that such a way leads to excessive individualism in which individuals live without an encounter or need for the other. That way has turned out to be a failure, since it leads to alienation and loneliness, despite all the developed means of social communication. Therefore, in the second part of the article, the author speaks about the civilization of love which is based on the teachings of Jesus Christ, which can lead to a true realization of an individual and build a better and more humane society. In the third part of the article the author speaks of the mission of modern educators warning that in the process of education individuals need to be ahead of things, ethics ahead of technique, spirit ahead of matter and charity ahead of justice.
