Sažetak
The ownership structure of agricultural farms in this country, comprises numerous small rural households which cannot be included into the cost-effective wester-type production. Presently there are about 20% households with an average of 2.9 hectares, and 80% small households even below 1.9 hectares at an average, the integration of which has still to be waited for. Therefore best solutions within the existing unprofitable model have to be found through the production of home made animal feed, primarily for beef cattle and swine. Thus the production of field crops has to be subjected to the growing of the best performance animal feed for the particular livestock on the relevant farm. Lack of industrial crops and inadequate intensive production of animal feed are the result of unstable economic situation in agriculture, but also of short tradition in this kind of production. ln overall husbandry management during the post-war period, beside favourable credits and stimulating measures of premium system in agriculture, an important role will be played by veterinarians specialized in herd health and production management, as well as agronomists in the consulting agricultural service, who will for efficacy sake also have to perform the physical and chemical analysis of soil, in order to fully implement the scientific achievements into the agricultural production.
