Sažetak
Aponychus corpuzae Rimando 1966 is an Oriental and East-Palearctic spider mite species. In Croatia it was first recorded on bamboo (Phyllostachys sp.) in August 2015 in Poreč. No damage was observed on bamboo plants, but orange mites with unusual flat appearance and very long legs were detected by visual inspection of leaves using the magnifying lens. An alien species A. corpuzae was identified by the laboratory analysis of collected leaf samples. It is moderately polyphagous species that prefers different bamboos as host plants. So far, A. corpuzae was recorded in the West-Palearctic region only in Slovenia and Italy.
