Sažetak

On the basis of the studies of the domestic variety of sour-cherry as pollinator of the Keresz variety in the conditions of Kosovo in the period 1966-1969 the following conclusions could be drawn: 1. Germinability of the pollen in domestic variety is not constant; varying from 26,3% (Type 72) to 71,6% (Type 50). Pollen germinability in Keresz variety is 28,4%. 2. Relating to pollen germinability cherry varieties are grouped into the following classes: low pollen germinability (0-30%) are Keresz and Type 72; good pollen germinability (31-70%) are Types 16, 6,37,100, and 63; excellent pollen germinability (over 70%) are Types 54 and 50. 3. Cytologic analisys of the pollen and the annormal formation of the fruit can be used for the evaluation of pollination rate and of embryo formation, these dates can also be used for the determination which type is most suitable as pollinator. 4. The relation of pollination in Keresz variety to the pollination of the other tested domestic types in variable. The Keresz variety, when polinated from the domestic sour-cherry of various types showed the highest yield of fruits when was pollinated from the types 100 (28,6%) from the type 50 (28,1%) and from the type 54 (27,0%). The lowest yield was when it was pollinated from the type 72 (9,0%). These dates show that domestic variety sour cherry types are not good pollinators for Keresz variety. 5. Keresz variety when was self-pollinated in Kosovo circumstances in the experiment period, remained auto-sterile.
