Sažetak
The trends in the development of the maritime traffic show us that the need for bigger container shipments is increasing steadily. At present there are quite a few big container ports being constructed in the Mediterranean which are bound to come in handy for the container
ships of the last generation. Thus the Mediterranean will not remain merely a transit sea, but will become interesting for those ships too, which have only passed through it on their way to the west-European ports.
