Design Optimisation of the Tooth Surface of a Variable Hyperbolic Circular Arc Tooth Trace Cylindrical Gear Based on Loaded Transmission Error

Sažetak
To reduce the vibration and noise of the variable hyperbolic circular arc tooth trace (VH-CATT) cylindrical gear transmission system, a method for modifying the tooth surface with an inclined milling cutter head and a parabolic cutter blade is proposed and the design optimisation of the tooth surface of the VH-CATT cylindrical gear is discussed. Firstly, a modified tooth surface equation was derived, and the tooth surface was reconstructed. Next, a tooth contact analysis model of the VH-CATT cylindrical gear was developed, and the tooth surface gap and flexibility matrix were calculated. An analysis model of the load tooth contact of the VH-CATT cylindrical gear was developed further. Then, a controllable design of the tooth surface mark was proposed, and an optimisation model of the tooth surface was developed and solved by the genetic algorithm. Finally, the tooth surface mark and transmission error experiments were carried out. In this study, the load distribution, the loaded transmission error, the expected cutter inclination angle and optimal modification blade parameters are analysed, and the loaded contact characteristics of the transmission were obtained. Furthermore, the conclusion of the study is verified by experiments. The results of the study will provide a theoretical tool for the high-quality VH-CATT cylindrical gear transmission.
