Sažetak

This paper deals with the problem of identification of Early Rus’ woodworking centers, discovered archaeologically in the Middle Dnipro area. Two groups of informative sources regarding this issue correct to can be distinguished. They are woodworking tools and wooden artifacts. However, for a relatively complete picture of the history of Early Rus’ woodworking in the region under study, it is necessary to identify manufacturing complexes and centers related to this craft. The definition of the concept of manufacturing complexes and woodworking complex as their option are given. They are defined as a set of preserved archaeological remains of production including structures and small objects, which may be remains of stationary and temporary workshops and places of primary processing of raw materials that are not archaeologically distinguishable.
Woodworking complexes studied archaeologically in the territory of the Middle Dnipro area are considered.
