The Opening of the Šibenik School of Commerce

Sažetak

Until recently, very little was known about the founding of the Šibenik School of Commerce and its functioning. School records kept in various archives give insight into the activities that had occurred before the founding of the school and how this educational institution was organized in the early days. In addition, this paper offers an overview of the curriculum that was offered at the Šibenik School of Commerce, teaching staff information and other details, such as the number of students, events that had taken place during that first year, etc. Furthermore, the author will describe how the school was financed in the first year of its existence.
