This paper offers a presentation of the legacy of Zagreb Faculty of Teacher Education’s renowned Professor Milena Roller-Halačev (1920 – 2012). She was a respected pedagogical consultant who developed an original concept of early education and left an indelible mark on Croatia’s preschool education system. She authored a large number of books and articles, contributing greatly to this field of study. Her expertise and pedagogical work put her among the reformers of the formal teaching of preschool children.
